Firewall and Router Access
OPTION 1 – IT CONNECT ticket
Important Reminders:
- CBID and Port and Protocols table (if exists) of the relevant application are documented with the access being required
- ECS review is successfully completed. ECS review can be requested from: go.ford/ecsrequest
- If the firewall access includes DPAPS (Dangerous Ports and Protocols) we require from the LL5 application data owner, as either an electronically signed email or a DocuSign document confirming the adequate compensation controls are in place
If all of this is already done then you can raise a Firewall and Router Access Ticket as follows:
- Go here: go.ford/extranetaccess
-
Fill out the form with the following information:
- From the Service Type drop-down menu select Firewall and Router Access
- From the Service Action drop-down menu select Add/Change/Delete as required
OPTION 2 - FSS (Firewall Self-Service) ticket
Firewall Self-Service is a new offering from the Extranet team allowing application teams who understand their exact firewall requirements to submit a simple form to request new firewall rules, or make changes to existing rules owned by their application.
Important Reminders:
- Responsibility for submitting accurate information lies with the requestor. You must verify your own requests
- Connections should still be documented within your own diagrams (i.e. you must still keep your CBID/Tech07 accurate)
- If your change does not work as expected then you are responsible for resolving this issue. Please see the FAQs for more information
- In order to submit a Firewall Self-Service request, the requester must be an IT Contact for the APM being submitted
Special Note: DPAP (Dangerous Ports or Protocols) and emergency requests are out of scope for the self-service process, as is DCoF, GCP, PCF, and IERP
You can raise an FSS ticket from: go.ford/fss
